Unless you are allergic to latex, these kinds of masks are great for just about anyone, anytime, and have great lasting appeal, so you can easily get more than one use from your chosen celebrity mask over time, so selecting wisely now will save you money in the long run.

Just picking someone that s currently in the public eye or who is the latest fad, will likely not be recognized next year or the year after. There’s not many things more frightening and that instills terror into people than the infamous fictional character of Freddy Krueger. He is the lead character in the series of six “A Nightmare On Elm Street” horror movies. Freddy has been a popular character to dress up as at Halloween, ever since the first movie came out in 1984. He has become
the the epitomy of terror and horror. Nowadays it’s even possible to get a terrifyingly life-like latex Freddy Krueger mask, just like the one they used in the movies.

In the movie he plays a dream stalker whose face has been horribly disfigured by fire and who uses a glove armed with razors to kill children and teenagers in their dreams. This then results in their death in the real world. However, whenever Freddy is dragged into the real world, and out of the dreams, it is discovered that he has normal human strength and vulnerability just like the rest of us. This is what ultimately leads to his demise.

It is this atmosphere of fear that surrounds the character of Freddy that makes him so popular at Halloween. The hideously disfigured and burned face makes it one of the best latex masks to wear for Halloween. All you then need to complete the frightening look and to scare all the people around you, is the famous red and dark green striped sweater, a brown fedora hat, and of course the trademark metal-clawed brown leather glove, that this mass murderer uses to kill his victims.

There are many great Halloween stores online that have some really realistic latex Freddy masks that you can buy and they quite possibly have the all the Freddy Krueger accessories such as the Freddy sweater, and the hat and the most important prop of all, the Freddy Krueger glove.

Most of us know the famous story of the fictional Jason Voorhees from the hit 1980 slasher movie Friday The 13th.  He was the odd and possibly slightly disfigured child who couldn’t swim, drowning in the middle of the lake and the camp counselors failed to rescue him because they were too preoccupied with teen lust – This kind of story line never ends well!Needless to say Jason has become an infamous icon on Halloween night. You have probably seen many different kinds of Jason masks just about around every corner when you are trick-or-treating.  They are especially popular with high school boys.

So far the twisted tale and famous bogey man has resulted in no less than 11 films at this point. The trademark hockey mask, however, did not actually appear until Friday the 13th Part III.  If you haven’t seen them all yet, then you’d better get busy, Halloween is just around the corner. Just a warning, though, they are not for the faint of heart – there’s a lot of carnage, blood, suspense and of course the creepiness is accentuated because you never see his face due to the infamous Jason mask. The movies are simply an ongoing cycle of shocking violence. Some people say that the best one is the second one.

Due to his huge popularity, the character of Jason can subsequently now be found in various other media, including comic books, novels, and there’s even been a cross-over film made featuring another gruesome iconic film character, Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare On Elm Street series of movies.

When you wear a latex Halloween mask, it enables you to have some great fun in the world of disguise!  You may have already decided what costume you are going to wear this Halloween, maybe  to look like your favorite character or monster, but your face will still be easily recognizable.
