Halloween costumes and parties will be everyone’s main focus in just a few weeks, so finding a great character to dress up as will be what everyone is thinking about. Not everyone can spend a lot of money on something like hiring a Halloween costume to wear, or even buying one, as sometimes they can be a little pricy An easy alternative is to get
a celebrity mask that you can use, and also re-use over and over for not too much money.

Another place to find these celebrity masks is on eBay. Sometimes you can strike it very lucky and find celebrity masks for pennies on the dollar.

Unless you are allergic to latex, these kinds of masks are great for just about anyone, anytime, and have great lasting appeal, so you can easily get more than one use from your chosen celebrity mask over time, so selecting wisely now will save you money in the long run.

Just picking someone that s currently in the public eye or who is the latest fad, will likely not be recognized next year or the year after. Darth Vader was one of the central characters from the Star Wars trilogy that started back in May 1977. Since then he has become a worldwide pop culture phenomenon and is now probably one of the most popular “Dark Side” heroes.

Vader is one of the most infamous iconic villains in film history, and has been listed as the third greatest movie villain on the American Film Institute list, that’s really saying something!

In the trilogy he is depicted as a fearsome cyborg who is the ultimate supreme commander of the brutal and greatly feared Galactic Empire.

When I was growing up, some of my friends also had a Darth Vader mask. That was over 20 years ago, but I still remember it very clearly.

My friends were very into the Star Wars trilogy, and they would often have fake sword fights in the backyard using tree branches as swords. Even though Darth Vader was deemed the bad guy in the movie he was still immensely popular with kids.

Today, the Darth Vader masks that you can buy are of much better quality, and the sound effects are now very real indeed.

When we were kids we had to make our own sound effects! Though the sound effects of the new Darth Vader mask sound very much like James Earl Jones (he’s the guy who provided all the Vader voice in all 3 of the movies), I still wonder if we had more fun using our own voice instead. It made us use own imaginations instead of supplying the
noises themselves for us.

The popularity of the Star Wars Trilogy has initiated other media releases such as books, television series, video games and comic books.

This exposure has made the popularity of Darth Vader into what it is today. It becomes most obvious at on October 31st when many kids wear masks for Halloween (and adults too!) and it’s obvious that they are still, even today, very eager to wear the mask of the supreme leader of the Dark Side!

There’s not many things more frightening and that instills terror into people than the infamous fictional character of Freddy Krueger. He is the lead character in the series of six “A Nightmare On Elm Street” horror movies. Freddy has been a popular character to dress up as at Halloween, ever since the first movie came out in 1984. He has become
the the epitomy of terror and horror. Nowadays it’s even possible to get a terrifyingly life-like latex Freddy Krueger mask, just like the one they used in the movies.

In the movie he plays a dream stalker whose face has been horribly disfigured by fire and who uses a glove armed with razors to kill children and teenagers in their dreams. This then results in their death in the real world. However, whenever Freddy is dragged into the real world, and out of the dreams, it is discovered that he has normal human strength and vulnerability just like the rest of us. This is what ultimately leads to his demise.

Most of us know the famous story of the fictional Jason Voorhees from the hit 1980 slasher movie Friday The 13th.  He was the odd and possibly slightly disfigured child who couldn’t swim, drowning in the middle of the lake and the camp counselors failed to rescue him because they were too preoccupied with teen lust – This kind of story line never ends well!Needless to say Jason has become an infamous icon on Halloween night. So far the twisted tale and famous bogey man has resulted in no less than 11 films at this point. When you wear a latex Halloween mask, it enables you to have some great fun in the world of disguise!  You may have already decided what costume you are going to wear this Halloween, maybe  to look like your favorite character or monster, but your face will still be easily recognizable.
